The mission of DeKalb County's Human Services Department is to strengthen families and individuals so that they can achieve self-sufficiency and attain the highest feasible quality of life; and, to develop viable urban communities, principally benefiting low-to-moderate income persons, through collaboration with nonprofit agencies, governmental entities at all levels, the business and faith communities, schools and residents.
