DEKALB CEO ELLIS OFFICIALLY TAKES OATH OF OFFICE DURING UNITY CEREMONY (text of speech)

ATLANTA – DeKalb Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis joined several groups of elected
officials to officially take the oath of office during a Unity Inaugural Ceremony at Saint Philip A.M.E. Church.

Justice Carol W. Hunstein administered the oath of office to DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer, Board of Commissioners, Superior Court, State Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Sheriff, District Attorney, Solicitor-General, Tax Commissioner, Clerk of Superior Court and the Board of Education. This is the first time in DeKalb County that an inaugural ceremony has included the swearing-in of all elected officials.
