Jessica E. Hill
Jessica E. Hill serves as the Director of Cooperative Extension. She is responsible for coordinating three programs including Horticulture, 4-H and Youth Development, and Family and Consumer Sciences. Her areas of specialization include health, wellness, financial literacy and parenting education.
Jessica began her career in DeKalb County as a Parenting Education Extension Agent. She also served as a County Extension Agent prior to assuming the role of Director of Cooperative Extension in 2004.
Prior to joining the DeKalb County Cooperative Extension, Jessica was a County Extension Educator in Cook County, Illinois.
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Campus with a bachelor’s degree in Community Health and a master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Health Care.

Cooperative Extension provides the citizens of DeKalb County with educational programs and information from the University of Georgia in the area of Horticulture, 4-H and Youth Development, and Family and Consumer Sciences.
Cooperative Extension educational programs have countywide significance:
- In the community and schools through 4-H and Youth Development
- In communities with efforts such as Master Gardeners and urban gardening
- In homes through nutrition, child development, housing, and financial literacy
- In nature by helping residents to protect the environment, and
In the food service industry through food handling and preparation information and training. |
